Our Cuisine
Garlic John’s offers traditional Italian cuisine as well as
regional Italian specialties and lighter Italian fare.
Chef Sue Anagnos prefers taking a simple approach in her cooking, using local
produce when it’s available, fresh fish procured from our local purveyor as
well as local veal and beef products. We offer specials almost every night that
include the fresh fish of the season prepared with other seasonal ingredients,
different types of ravioli or other stuffed pasta and customer favorites such
as pork osso bucco.
Our menu includes pasta dishes with your choice of pasta
(capellini, linguine, penne, fettucini, whole wheat spaghetti or gluten-free
rotini) and one of our house made sauces --- pesto, garlic and oil, marinara,
alfredo, vodka sauce, white or red clam sauce or rapini, which is broccoli rabe
delicately sautéed in olive oil with diced tomatoes, garlic and sweet and hot
sausage.
Our menu also offers a variety of veal, chicken and seafood
dishes from the traditional to the unique. Our signature entrees include veal
or chicken saltimbocca, parmesan crusted sole, horseradish crusted salmon and chicken and sausage scarpariello, which
is capellini topped with a spicy combination of
tender chicken and sweet and hot sausage with sautéed red onions, pepperoncini,
garlic and sweet red peppers.
Menu items that are unique
to Garlic John’s include Eggplant Napolean, a lighter version of Eggplant
Parmesan that is stacked with lightly breaded eggplant, fresh tomato slices,
roasted red peppers and mozzarella and served over marinara sauce. Our gnocchi
is served tossed with a fresh garlic, tomato, basil and olive oil sauce.
You’ll find our menu also includes chicken or veal parmesan,
marsala or piccata, and shrimp scampi, grilled salmon and sole francese. We also
have numerous salad, soup and appetizer offerings and include pizza and burger
selections to round out our menu. A children’s menu is also available.
